Well for thousands of years nobody released them, so that point has no weight at all. Additionally is he becoming stronger very fast. Why not at the very least regain his past strength first and help other people becoming stronger too to kill them right after releasing them?! There is literally no point in defending this stupid behavior and bad story telling.

What kind of bullshit is this?! He has his flaws okay. I don’t like many things he did or how he did it, but to release even a third devil without any reason is far to much. This screams PLOT ARMOR! He first release the worst things ever, while he could never fight even one of them, and later he will just win with ridiculous plot armor. This whole story makes absolutely no fucking sense!!!
